National Hunting and Fishing Days September 27-28, 2014
This weekend is the 2014 National Hunting and Fishing Days
Date: Saturday September 27, 2014 and Sunday September 28, 2014
Time: From 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Location: Located at NYSDEC Region 8 HQ, 6274 East Avon-Lima Rd., Avon, NY 14414
An outdoor event consisting of exhibits, demonstrations plus a Sportsman’s flea market.
Food and drink available at event. Sportsmen licenses may also be purchased at this event.
Trap shooting, archery, Crosman air gun gallery, fly-casting and canoeing.
Sat ONLY: Duck decoy contest at Noon and FLCC Woodsmen Lumberjack demonstrations.
We will be located at spot #47, just look for the 550 paracord, blow guns, tactical packs, survival kits, or fire starters. We have all the normal goodies, and some new stuff.

I am an avid outdoorsman. I have been outdoors since I was a kid. I was in Boy Scouts until we moved during my junior year of high school. At which point I was Life rank starting to work toward Eagle. I have been camping, hunting, fishing, hiking as long as I can remember. I have done presentations and workshops with groups ranging from children to adults. I have done several presentations/demonstrations in regards to fire making and knot tying (most popular) and many other topics. I have worked with a variety of scouts and leaders. We had a preparedness group where we would discuss various topics related to being prepared, canning, gardening, natural disasters, etc. I truly enjoy sharing the knowledge I have with others.
