It was a beautiful day. It was good to see everyone that came out to the show today. I think this is the biggest it has been since we have doing this show.
We are setup in the garage area of the building; back by the food vendors. There is some amazing food this year as well as all of the great vendors. My wife went for a lemonade and she came back with a bag full of stuff. I looked at her and she said she did some Christmas shopping.
On another note. We are down to a few Mini and Mighty pocket survival Kits. We are also running low on some of our surplus Gortex and poncho’s.
I am hoping to get a chance to catch the animal show tomorrow. We could hear it, but not see it from where we were.

Saturday July 13th there will be a community yard sale at Godfrey’s Pond (directions). We were invited to setup. We will be setting up at the pavilion next to the clubhouse. Everyone coming to the community sale will be given a map showing the locations of the sellers. The sale runs from 9 AM to 2 PM.
We will be setting up pretty much our full offering. We will also be discounting several items to make room for new products coming later this year.
As some of you may have noticed we haven’t been out to the flea market in Avon this year. Our schedule has prevented us from setting up there this year. At this point we don’t have any plans to setup at the flea market this summer. This will be an opportunity to see us without having to pay admission like at the gun/sportsman shows. To see where we are going to be and what is going on check our events page.
We are tentatively planning a survival class for July 20th. This class will be a more in depth and even more hands on training than our workshop at Godfrey’s Pond. This class will be suitable for the novice to intermediate skill level.
This is tentative based on the relatively short notice and attendance. We are setting a limit of 12 attendees for this class.
We will be covering the base topics (and more):
Shelter – Shelter Basics
Fire – Basic fire making (no lighters or matches)
Water – procuring, purifying, and unusual water sources
Signaling – various ways to signal rescue including signal mirrors, signal fires, contrast and natural materials
Navigation – group hike on the trails with demos / discussions
Date: Saturday, July 20th, 2013
Time: 09:00am to 5:00pm
Fee: $75.00 per person (family discount offered for more than one member from a family…contact for details).
If you have any questions or are interested contact us.
Just a reminder I will be teaching a wilderness survival workshop Saturday June 22 at Godfrey’s Pond (Directions). We will be covering the basics of survival as well as gettting a little more in depth on some topics.
We still have some room in the class so if you are interested you can contact me or show up Saturday morning. You can download the registration form here Wilderness Survival Workshop Flyer_2013_CFS the cost for the workshop is $45.
Hope to see you there.
